Doi Mae Salong

Doi Mea Salong or in other word “ Santi Ki Ri “ , the place of Chinese Troop the 93rd villagers,immigrated since1961. Before that the troop fighting with Burmese army but after revolution in China. General Chieng Kai Cheg period ,he was out of power and the troop cannot return to their country and cannot stay in Burma too. General Tuan troop leader got allowance from Thai government to stay in this area as normal civilian. This place just like the memorial of the past. Presently, there was the cemetery of Gen. Tuan , decorated with marble. Moreover, there are many places to visit the Mahathat Chedi Srinakarindra Sathit maha Santi Kiri is the biggest pagoda,place on one peak of the Mea Salong area, which is one of best view point. We can use the local transport the pick up van and up hill about 12 kms., visit the Mahathat Chedi , the Cemetery and lastly to local market with the local famous product “ Chinese Tea“ with various types, tastes and smell !! ( planting here ) also the preserved fruits and other souverniors. Here is one of the best place for study the past, present live and also shopping.
